Chopper Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Coast
An aircraft flying above a popular California coastline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers observed.
Footage posted online depict the aircraft commencing to spiral over the shoreline then plunging near the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palms and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders reported five persons were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the road were hurt. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
